At the beginning of the school year, students wrote a story in a short paragraph and illustrated it in a sequence of picture events. The instuction to tell the story was to use simple past and past ccontinuous tenses. Here are some of their stories. Well done!!!!! Miss Marian.
Thieves at the night club
There were some teenagers in a night club. They were dancing and drinking when thieves arrived. They pushed the bouncer into a bathroom, locked the door and put all the teenagers against the wall. They told them to give them all the money they had and kidnapped a girl. They were leaving when the police started following them. Then, the police caught the thieves, rescued the girl and sent them to prison.
Something careless happened
One day, John was driving his car while he was chatting on the phone. Suddenly, he ran over a person who was crossing the street. Then he went to the hospital to help the man. Finally, the man was better but unfortunatelly, he had to use plaster.
I broke my leg
Last year, I was with my friend Mary in my garden. We were climbing a tree that was very tall. When I got to the top of it, Mary and I decided to go down. She did it really fast because she was scared. I was going down when the branch broke and I fell on the grass. I was crying when my mother came and called the ambulance. When the doctor came, he took me to the hospital. There, doctors took x-rays and told me I had broken my leg so they put me plaster. Now I'm healthy and my leg is well. I can climb trees again but I have to be very careful!

My expectations
Students from 6th C answered four questions about their expectations for this school year. Most of them agreed on answering the following:
1 What do you expect English to be like?
I'd like to have fun and this subject to be easy.
2 What do you expect from your teacher?
I'd like my teacher to be sweet and a very good teacher, to teach us great things, and to give us games and songs as exercises.
3 What do you expect from your classmates?
I'd like my classmates to be good people and friends, and to have fun.
4 What do you expect from yourself?
I'd like to overcome obstacles, to be a good person and to be promoted to 7th form!!!!
